We’re all capable of crossing a line we once believed we never would. Give people the right circumstances and they’ll find a reason. We’re very good at moving the line when it serves us.
The ending... security vs. conscience. It was strong. What is she willing to give up to survive...You don’t have to become evil to cross the line. You just need a good enough reason.
Exactly 💯. I think it relates to the whole before you judge a person, walk a mile in their shoes saying. But I wanted to load the dice a little bit with the theological layer. Just to make it even that much more complicated 😂
I did not want this to end. I wanted to know what happens next! You made such a vivid world in such a short time. My imagination was alight and I’ve been in a slump lately. Reminded me what I love about good fiction. 💕
Love the way you left the choice at the end. The sensory details like the crunch of the straw under her boots or the rune glowing like stardust under the skinreally help immerse the reader. This would be a good novel!
Very interesting! It was at once richly detailed and highly visual while remaining ambiguous and leaving the reader with questions. You merged those together skillfully, in my opinion. Fantastic story! Thank you!
“A bloom of pale maggots” i love that description.
Nice, I shudder to think how I'd react in real life... Probably 🤢🤮

I like. I don’t like them separating Viv from Donny tho

Oh wow, thank you so much! That’s the best compliment! Hopefully I can spark an idea for someone and they can go on to write a masterpiece!

Thanks! I'm not sure I'm inventive enough to stretch it into a novel though 😳

Thank-you. I was hoping I didn't over cram it with stuff.
Good ending!
I'm so glad you liked it! I'm sure some will hate the ambiguity.
Definitely gets a reader wanting to read & know more.
This was great!! Has the feeling of an epic :)
Thanks! I was kind of aiming for that register 😀
