Yeah me too. She’s stuck all on the moon in a place she’s not supposed to be. He should never have brought her there. The sad thing is he knew that too.
Oh wow thank you! I love that compliment! I write a lot of different genres but I always try to focus on the personal and just use the environment and big events more as texture 😀
Confession; this is my first sci-fi flash fiction I've ever read. Being a memoir kind of gal I saw your post on Izabela Shopova's thread and thought "why not?" So glad I did. Super enjoyable.
It was for a shirt story contest so likely no continuation. I just keep writing stand alone shirts for different contests. Mostly Reedsy Prompts Weekly stuff. I never win but the prompts and constraints work for me to keep me from over expanding. If I did do a follow up to Luna it'd be about her life after that moment and how even as an unauthorized pet that's not allowed up.thete that she becomes an unofficial mascot and everyone loves her. Except a handful of jerks. Then she saves one of their lives.
Noooooooooo! This one was so immersive. I had fun, I didn’t want it to end. The world building was so deftly woven. Particularly: “Old-timers around Artemis Nexus joked that you only put one on so rescue teams could find the Recco reflector and collect your body for the composters. They weren’t far off. No thermal regulation, no shielding, and no guarantees. But I couldn’t stop thinking about how I wish they made one for dogs.”
I feel bad for Luna a bit.

Thank you so mich!
I'm rarely a fiction reader, but Luna felt completely real.
